About

Runecraft is a Minecraft Bukkit/Spigot plugin that adds magic in the form of runes which can be constructed using in-game blocks. From moving islands of earth to traveling large distances Runecraft has many unique properties to explore! What makes Runecraft so wildly different from other Bukkit/Spigot plugins is simply the fact that Runecraft has no client-side interfaces such as commands or special clients! That means that you don't need to type-- all you need to do is build.

Runecraft was the third SMP mod ever developed and released publicly, being originally released on August 28, 2010, by creator SuperLlama. It is still actively maintained by the Runecraft Development Team.

Rune List Tiers & Energy
The Rune List is your go-to pal for assisting you in your everyday runic needs! It provides:
  • Templates for each known rune
  • Information about each rune
  • Administrative sections

If you are just starting out Runecraft, be sure to start out with the Initiation rune.

Runecraft has a unique system of powering and using runes.
  • Each block has a different Tier. Replace the Ink blocks in your runes with higher tiers to make the effects stronger.
  • Energy is the magical currency of Runecraft. Casting magic depletes your energy. Energy can be replenished by creating and activating runes, putting items in an Aether Chest or sacrificing items into fire ("Fire Gain" has to be manually turned on). Every item has a preset energy value which is added to your personal energy level if sacrificed.
  • You can use Oracle to see the Tier and Energy values of blocks you click on. As well as your current Energy levels.
  • check out the complete list of Tiers and Energy values
