Tier zero materials are blocks that are ignored when creating a rune. They are essentially "transparent", and are usually treated like Air (which is itself a tier 0 block.) Any rune pattern that shows blank space can typically have any tier zero material in those empty spaces.

The default Tier 0 blocks include:

  • Air
  • Stone (Including all variants such as Andesite and Basalt)
  • Dirt
  • Netherrack (Including the Nylium variants found in nether biomes)
  • Grass Blocks
  • Snow
  • Grass (The plant, and its varients)
  • Concrete (Including concrete powder and all colors)
  • Signs (Including freestanding, wall mounted and hanging signs of all types)

For a more comprehensive list of all blocks and their tiers, see this list.

Note: Server admins may change which tier a material is as of runecraft 2.11. See disabled-runes.txt for details.
